term in Lesotho a year later. In 2012 he married his sweetheart, Mari, and they
returned to Lesotho. Their first-born son, Matthias, was born in Johannesburg, South
Africa, in October 2013. They adopted their daughter, Isabella, in September 2018.
Bryan and Mari served in Lesotho, Africa for over a decade. Bryan, a pilot and
mechanic, played a crucial role in medical relief and sharing the Gospel with the
Basotho! Some of Bryan's highlights in Lesotho were assisting in the delivery of four
babies on board his plane and watching the Gospel spread through the work of local
pastors and missionaries!
Bryan is now working on-loan to Mission Aviation Training Academy as a flight instructor. Born in Alaska and raised
in Washington, Bryan committed his life to Christ in 1999 and felt called to missions shortly thereafter. Mari, a former
Navy linguist, Massage Therapist, and Physical Therapist Assistant, had opportunities to use her skills in Lesotho. She
volunteered at the local orphanage, taught English to a foreign student, and helped some of the local staff overcome
injury and pain through massage and physical therapy but has enjoyed staying at home and home-schooling their
children and now mentors new missionary candidates through MAF's Waypoints program.God calls the men and
women of MAF and MATA to serve Him in unique ways. He may also be calling you to a special role in Bryan and
Mari's ministry. Please prayerfully consider becoming a Ministry Partner with them through prayer and/or financial support! You can visit their MAF webpage at www.maf.org/eygabroad. (Bryan's FAA Certificates: CPL-ASEL, CFI, A&P)
