Joe Hopkins is originally from the Philadelphia area and graduated from Penn State with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He also has college-level training in marketing, business development, consulting, and leadership. He previously worked in design-build mechanical & general construction in the Seattle area for twenty years. Joe obtained his Commercial Pilot Certificate in 1995. Starting in 1998 Joe became a real estate broker and was owner/operator of a realty firm in King County, Washington from 2000 to 2013. He currently is active as a property renovator and serving his real estate clients. Joe’s outside-work activities include flying, playing guitar & bass guitar, mountain biking, traveling, and being active in his church serving as worship team bassist and member of the missions support team. Joe began volunteering with MATA in 2013. Early in 2018 Joe was installed as a member of the MATA board of directors. Joe also serves at MATA as ground school instructor for the annual summer camp for teens.
